"FAITH" and "HOPE", mother and daughter, terrier mixes.
Anastasia found them during a drive to Athens. They were running on the highway, on the inside of the traffic barriers next to cars going 120km/h and were absolutely terrified.
Anastasia had to stop traffic to get the dogs to safety, and the only way to force the unwilling drivers to stop was to place herself in the middle of the road in front of the incoming cars. Fortunately after a lot of honking, yelling, obscene gestures, name calling and a fight with a huge truck driver, she managed to get the dogs into her car and to our vet. After all the appropriate exams she drove them to our sanctuary where they fit right in, making immediate friends.
Since then we have spayed them both, fully vetted and vaccinated them, as well as microchipped them.
Also our wonderful volunteers train with them daily to get them fully housebroken and leash trained.
"FAITH"- the mother- is about 2 years old and weights approx 9 kg. She is a very cheerful and playful lady, social with people and animals alike.
"HOPE"- the daughter- is about 8 months old and weights approx 6 kg. She is still a bit shy with strangers but warms up quickly. She is social with other animals, quite playful too.
