Libby is a 9 month old Beagle mix who is ready to live it up with you, her forever home! Libby was rescued from a hoarding situation with several of her canine pals, and is ready to find a forever home of her very own! We promised her rescuers that we would do our very best to find her an amazing new family that deserved the amazingness that is Libby! This gal has made every life she has interacted with better and we know that it is only the beginning for this lovely girl. Libby has a fabulous smile and an even more fantastic personality. We expect her to be in the 20-25 pound range when she reaches her adult weight. If you’re looking for a fun-loving adventure companion, you won’t find a better buddy than Libby!

Libby is an amazingly sweet puppy who is looking for her new best friend in her forever home! She adores her people and would love nothing more than a life spent loving on you! She has the ability to worm her way into your heart even after only knowing you for an hour. She loves to play with toys and other dogs but isn’t overwhelming in her energy. She also loves to nap alongside you as you work so she could be an incredible WFH companion. She will be the star of any Zoom call and has been working on her camera faces to win over her new coworkers. We promise that your life will never be dull with a Libby in it! Libby is very food-motivated, like any good Beagle so she will do just about anything in exchange for a cookie or a kiss. Libby loves to cuddle on the chest of her foster parents and will put herself to sleep with a soft smile and a Beagle snore. Libby would love to join you on the couch or on your bed, and will stretch out like the Queen she is! We know that she is ready to make your life complete, so what are you waiting for!

Libby starts her morning at 7 AM with a trip outside to the bathroom with her foster siblings before she trots inside for breakfast. After she eats, she settles in for naptime as her family gets ready for the workday. During the morning, Libby alternates between snoozing on her bed, playing with her foster siblings, sniffing around the yard, and investigating the kitchen for any dropped snacks. Around noon, she gets some cuddles and another trip outside for potty. In the afternoon, Libby goes on her daily walk and greets her neighborhood pals. After work, Libby enjoys some playtime in the yard with her favorite toys until it is time for dinner at 6 PM. After dinner, Libby helps herself onto the couch where she watches some TV until it is time for bed.

Libby adores her canine foster siblings and would thrive in a home with other dogs, but she could also be a solo pup. She loves people of all ages and seeks out those who have cookies for her. Libby will require puppy training to ensure she is a well-behaved adult gal. She is making progress in her leash skills and house-training. We know that Libby will be such a wonderful addition to the home lucky enough to bring her home!

Libby is an option for those who have owned a dog previously, even if that experience is less recent. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
