I'm the sweet and somewhat shy Nova. I'm attached to my brother, Astro, so we need to go home together. We have lived together our whole lives and while we don't cuddle we are good roommates. I love attention from people and will give you a quiet meow for some pets.

We do not do same-day adoptions and have an application process.

You are welcome to come into our shelter to visit the cats during our regular business hours before or after turning in an application.

Animal Aid of Portland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and welfare organization, passionately serving animals and the people they love since 1969. It is our mission to enhance the welfare of companion animals through individualized care and lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and community partnerships. We operate a free-roam shelter for cats; a foster program for dogs and cats; It Takes a Pack, a community-driven animal care supply sharing initiative; and the Animal Aid Cares Fund, a partnership with veterinarians, trainers, and behaviorists in Portland to provide financial assistance for urgent medical and behavioral care.
