My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IVY is a lovely SEAL POINT RAGDOLL with blue eyes and a beauty spot on her adorable nose. She is approx. 12 years old, spayed, has her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV negative. She weighs almost 9 lbs.

Ivy came into rescue when her situation at home changed due to regular visits of a dog which stressed Ivy out. Therefore her foster mom is committed to finding this adorable girl a home that is free from dogs. If you have a dog, are planning on getting a dog, or have friends or family members who want to come over with their dog (no matter how cat friendly this dog may be), please do not apply for her.

Ivy’s foster mom has had the pleasure of fostering a few Ragdoll girls before but has to admit that Ivy has completely stolen her heart. This little doll is absolutely purrfect. She is so sweet, easy going, truly beautiful, and enjoys being brushed. Sometimes a gentle brushing will elicit the presentation of the elevator butt, the Ragdoll flop, all the while purring and chirping.

She is not too much a fan of being picked up, but will allow her foster mom to pick her up for a moment so she can bestow some kisses on her lovely face. What Ivy does like is to sit on laps or to cuddle beside her human(s). She seems to have a special affinity for men, so a home where a kitty dad enjoys the company of a little female feline would be an ideal situation for her.

Ivy has made herself home at her foster parents house rather quickly. She enjoys being around people and has met her foster parent’s calm older male cats without any issues. However, we have witnessed that she can be territorial at times with some cats, so to assure she lives the life she deserves, we want to send her to a home where she can enjoy being a single little princess. With so much sweetness and gracefulness, who needs competition anyway?

We do think she would be okay with older, cat savvy children.

She eats both wet and dry food, has been fully vetted and is using her litter box appropriately.

If you are interested in giving Ivy a loving, permanent home and can commit to her remaining a single pet, please submit an adoption application.
