My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We'd be willing to bet you've never seen a dog like Zeus! He is quite the combination of husky and...something! Imagine waking up to this derpy goof every day; you'd be sure to wake up with a smile! From Zeus's foster dad:

Zeus didn’t do well in the shelter. He couldn’t cope with all the noise and activity and smells, and was a trembling wreck, so the shelter got him into foster care. In just a couple of days in a quiet, calm place, with a lot of fussing over him and telling him he was a good boy, he bonded to me and became the sweet, affectionate dog he is. All this guy wants and needs is somebody he can trust and be near. Now, he follows me wherever I go, and when I stop to do something, he lies down near me. If I go to another room, he’s usually sitting by the door when I come back, waiting for me. I wish I could spend more time with this 80 pound love sponge, because he thrives on being near his person.
Zeus needs a quiet home, and a large dog crate to which he can retire when he wants some time on his own. A place with young children and lots of coming/going would probably not work for him. His best situation would be with someone who is around a lot, perhaps retired or who works from home, so he can be near you. This guy is a very low maintenance boy. No bad habits. 100% housetrained. Doesn’t jump up. Doesn’t bark. Likes my cats. Doesn’t pull on his lead on walks. Barely sheds at all. If I’m not around for a while, he just goes in his crate and sleeps. Belly pets are his favorite. And he has the most beautiful blue eyes. If you need a friend who will adore you and be happy just being with you, Zeus is your boy.
