My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. This is Mudbray. She is named after a Pokemon. You don't have to catch them all but maybe this one is meant for your Pokeball. She might be a little shy at first but she really levels up with love and affection. She'll show you her loving personality. She is playful, can self-play and loves the outdoors. She is constantly exploring new surroundings whether it's indoors in a new room or outside in a new area of the yard. She takes corrections very well. She is treat motivated. This helps when training her. She is very intelligent. She loves her treat ball which requires coordination with her nose and paws to maneuver the ball around. I fill it with Cheerios and she catches them all. She also loves ice cubes, in this heat, so do I. She loves water and really enjoyed her last bath. She will make a great companion to anyone looking for a traveling, hiking, or snuggling buddy.
As great I think she is, she is still in need of guidance. Your patience in her training will pay off in the long run. Watch the videos I posted of her on the Animal Compassion Team website.

If you are interested in Mudbray and would like to be considered for her, please fill out an online application for her from the Animal Compassion Team website. Only an approved applicant will be allowed to meet her. She can go home now, to the right fit family. I prefer to communicate by email. If you have any questions, my name is Anna, please feel free to email me directly at anna@animalcompassionteam.com I do my best to reply back as quickly as possible.
I look forward to reading your application if you choose to submit one.

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
