My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grover is a 1.5 year old boxer mix. He is a very active boy and loves to run in the back yard. He is going to be have TPLO surgery on July 5th to repair his knee. He can go to his new home before his surgery and Rover Rescue will cover the costs. After surgery he is going to have to be strictly rested.
Grover will need a home with a dog savvy owner and no kids. He has developed some resource guarding (mostly over rawhides). He will need someone willing to work with him on this. He is a very sweet boy otherwise and loves to snuggle. Grover is getting along with the 2 smaller dogs in the house. He does get a little rambunctious with playtime. Grover is crate trained, but does need encouragement to go in. He is food motivated and treats do help. He is house trained. Grover is looking for a special home to recover for surgery in that is willing to work with his quirks. Grover is neutered and up to date on shots. Additional adoption info

Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

Rover Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue group located 40 miles west of Chicago in Aurora, IL. The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
