Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shadow was adopted but returned to the shelter. The adopters said Shadow was a great dog but got too excited when their grandchild was around. To get him to stop, they used a shock collar on him. It didn't go well. Now Shadow will need an owner who is willing to train him and work through this trauma. Jodi Jarvis-Therrian, a dog trainer, from Dog Blessed LLC has generously offered to help. She will give a Rescue Dog discount to Shadow's new adopter if Shadow takes part in her training program.
Shadow is a 7 year old, male, Shepherd mix. Shadow was transferred to Newaygo County from a small southern Michigan animal shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. Our wonderful officers said our shelter could help. Besides being beautiful, Shadow is an all around great dog. He's a little timid but gets over it quicly and wants to be your new friend. Shadow is good with other dogs and doesn't seem bothered by much. "This dog is such a good boy has a clean kennel, lays so quietly in his kennel and waits with a sit for you to take him for a walk and good with other dogs we got so lucky!" Shadow is ready to be someone's Best Dog Ever!!
The adoption fee for dogs is $90.
This fee includes spay/neuter, deworming, heartworm test, rabies, Bordetella & DHLPP shots, flea & tick treatment and license (for Newaygo County residents).
