Mamas is a lovely little lady who lived in a home for two years before coming to the shelter. She was reportedly housebroken, crate trained, loves toys, and is affectionate and independent. Mamas spent some time in a foster home and her foster person said that she is well- behaved and very sweet with people, including kiddos.
After finding herself on a deadline due to shelter overcrowding, Mamas headed to another foster home. Her second foster family said the following:
“Mamas is the most perfect doggie house guest I`ve ever had (and I`ve had lots!). 110% housetrained, no accidents/destruction even when left alone when I had long days at work. Mostly just slept when I was out. She eventually did get through one of her stuffed toys after a couple weeks, but never touched anything that wasn`t hers.
She was free roaming at my house, so I didn`t use a crate, but she had a short stay with another foster and they reported she did great crated and would go right in when asked.
She is the BIGGEST social butterfly and loves every human she has met. She is definitely a kisser and loves belly rubs and snuggling close with you. She`d be a great dog for someone looking for a loving companion to come home to because she is so affectionate and definitely makes you feel appreciated.”
- Very food motivated and loves treats and snacks - Did well briefly meeting kiddos - Slept at the foot of her foster person’s bed - LOVES toys and balls - Super smart and loves to earn treats with puzzle toys - Happy, affectionate little sparkplug with a tail that never stops wagging - Great in the car and loves adventures, but also happy to relax at home
Mamas has doubled down on her excellent behavior in foster homes, and she’d love to show them off in a forever home now!
Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said about her:
“Mamas is sweet and gets along well with her kennelmate. We took them to the play yard and after a rinse with the hose, she got the zoomies.”
Mamas has shared her kennel politely during her stays in the shelter and was independent and appropriate when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. No cats please! Ask to meet Mamas today!
