My name is Basil!

We got Basil (now 6 years old) from a shelter when she was 3 months. It was immediately clear she was a companion dog. She has always wanted to be near us and wherever the action is. She loves being around her people. Basil is a great dog. The majority of the day, she just lounges around the house, moving to whatever room we are in, or to our front porch where she can sunbathe. When one of us leaves, she gets a little sad, and then when we come home she gets super excited. Really any time ANYONE comes in the house, she gets amped up for about 10-15 minutes, but then she inevitably calms down to her normal self. We got Basil when it was just my wife and I, and we now have two daughters under the age of three. She has never caused us any trouble with regard to our daughters or their safety.

We are moving overseas and are looking for somebody who loves dogs to take Basil. Ideally whoever takes Basil would be someone who is looking for non-stop companionship and somebody who is patient.
