Raise your hand if you have social anxiety around new hoomans! 🙋🏻♀️ Clancy is raising his paw right along with you! Clancy was in the foster program through McMinn Regional Humane Society for over a YEAR now without much interest. His foster family asked if we would be able to accept him into our rescue if they continued to foster and after we got a few adoptions, we said YES!
Clancy WAS heartworm positive but underwent treatment and is now NEGATIVE! 🥳 He loves to be around other dogs and currently lives with a canine foster sibling. He does NOT like cats and small children make him nervous. He requires some additional time and proper introductions when meeting new people but he warms up if these steps are taken! His foster family says that if you ignore him and let him come to you and sniff around, he will eventually warm up and let you pet him. Treats also help with this!
His foster family has been working very hard with him to train him to be more comfortable out in public, even going so far as to arrange public meetups with community members to give him treats on the greenway. 🥲 He is so lucky to have his foster family but he needs his forever home! Ideally he would love to be a homebody and hang out with his people and maybe even a doggie brother or sister!

More about this rescue
WHY & HOW
Let us start by telling you the "WHY" and "HOW" woofwoof fosters was created. Our founder
moved to TN in February of 2019. Since moving here, she has seen a lot of
posts on Facebook and other social media sites about missing, neglected, homeless, abused dogs, and
overcrowded shelters and rescues. Our founder and her family rented houses while
searching for a place to buy that would accommodate animals. In 2022, they finally found
a home to buy! Now that they have a home and some land, they want to do what they can
to help! The dream is that one day rescue organizations won't be needed and that all
humans will see these beautiful furbabies for what they are….. love in the purest form. It
is part of woofwoof foster's mission to make this happen.
