My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We got Penny from the SPCA 2 years ago. She was 5 months or so at the time.
They said she was a lab boxer shepherd mix. the lab is clear but we wonder about the others.
My 2 young children were very excited and for a while we trained and walked and worked with Penny.
She has always stayed close and never runs away at all. Even as a puppy she got out the back yard and tried to get in the cat door!
She also let our young children lay on her.
After a year she went to a month long training at “The Rovervelt” she learned sit, stay, place, here, lay down, and to walk on your left side It was treat training and she responded well.
She has always been excited to play with other dogs.
She really wants a lot of affection, lots of petting and attention, but does go to her place or lay down after enough attention and being told to.
With a new baby and some other changes we can't be what she needs.
We think a dog person who can give her lots of love and/or other dogs would be perfect.
