My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

China has had the worst luck lately, but we’re really wanting to change that. She was in a horrible house fire as seen in her photos, her “owner” didn’t want her back and told us to give her a kiss goodbye when she was about to be put to sleep, and now she’s at a location where she can’t get all the attention she needs and wants. China grew up around cats and small dogs, and prefer the smaller dogs to larger ones. She is a loving girl that her carers say is starving for human connection and needs more than they can give her. While she’s getting the care she needs, it’s not enough for this girl. She would love a home where she can get all the attention her little heart desires and spoiled like she deserves after having awful luck. Please fill out an application for this sweet girl and we can set something up for a meet and greet.

A meeting with any current dogs will be required to make sure she is a good fit.

Additional adoption info

You must fill out an application for any of our adoptable pets. Your current pets must be utd on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Once we review your application we will contact you regarding any questions we may have, or you may have about the adoption process.

Deposits are required on all dogs/puppies to hold until pickup date. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.

Your adoption for each dog or puppy includes the following:

Up to date vaccinations, dewormings, hw status (adults only), microchip with lifetime free membership and LOW COST spay and neuter at our vet in Hoboken GA. The low cost fee is $75 for a spay and $50 for a neuter. Adopter must continue puppy vaccination series through their vet after adoption. Contract applies.

All of our dogs have age-appropriate vaccinations, if over 6 months old are spayed or neutered, if under 6 months adopter is responsible for having that done between 6 and 10 months of age (we can offer some low cost options for you), microchipped with lifetime free membership, dewormed and will go home with a 3 to 5 day dewormer as well. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability.

Adults are heartworm tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process!

If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required.

We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. Our email is Sgequinerescue@gmail.com you can email when you put your app in or wait the 48 hours. Just know some dogs have a lot of apps so the sooner the better in those cases.

Adoption fees range from $150 to $400

We do not offer discounts of any kind. Adoption fees are set fees and not negotiable. These fees help with vetting on current and future animals we take in.

We do not offer walk through "choose a dog/puppy" type experience. We are partially foster-based, we can help with matching dogs if you have something you have in mind so feel free to call or browse our available dogs at sger.petfinder.com. You can meet before adoption but that is ONLY done with approved applicants.
