My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I`m Buddy. I`m a pretty chill girl who loves a good play session. I`ve got this cool mellow vibe that everyone seems to love. I`m quite the lady too, always gentle with my fellow shelter mates. I`ve been told I have a knack for making people feel at ease. It`s just my thing, you know? I love making friends, both feline and human. I`m not one for causing a fuss, I just enjoy the simple pleasures of life. You know what else I`d love? A forever home. A place where my playful and friendly nature can bring joy. Adopt me, and I promise to be the best Buddy you`ve ever had.

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
