If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Mary Jane is three years old and she has been with us for over two years. We have two young kids (ages 5 and 8) and she does great with them. She is very sweet with us. She likes to play fetch and go on hikes and is a great running partner. She has completed obedience training and is crate trained. She is nervous when meeting other dogs but does fine at the dogsitter's home after she gets a few minutes to warm up. I think she may do best with another friendly dog in the home. She has become territorial around our home and neighborhood with strangers and visitors (no bites) and needs more socialization training than we can offer her. She will come with her beds and crate. We are happy to pay for a home visit with a trainer to get her acclimated to a new home. We just want a good home and family for her that gives her the attention and patience that she deserves.
