My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spanky!

Spanky is a young terrier mix who was originally found as a stray in CA. He is a social butterfly when is comes to people but can take a minute to warm up to canine friends. Spanky does best with neutral, calm dogs who can ignore his initial reactiveness. Once Spanky realizes he is safe and in the company of a friendly dog he is a super playful guy. Spanky has been working hard on his basic training and knows place, sit, down, is kennel trained, potty trained and walks well on leash. Spanky can be reactive on leash to things like other dogs, cats, birds and squirrels (he is a terrier after all) but he has been making wonderful progress on this behavior with the right leadership. Spanky is such a happy, outgoing boy with the best butt wiggle around. He will make a wonderful family dog for someone commited to continuing his training. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Spunky's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our
