Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Esme & her brother, Ivory, came to us a few months ago after being rescued by another organization. At the time they were about 5-6 months old, were skinny, were under-socialized, and were suffering with respiratory and eye infections. It took some time for this pair to get back up to health, but they're now doing well and are ready to find their forever homes.
Esme & her brother started off their lives living outside as feral kittens. They are nervous nellies when they are in new environments and when meeting new people. However, once they're are comfortable around you, they are really sweet. Esme is playful but is also very sweet, docile and not super high energy. She will do best in a smaller space, like a condo or apartment.
Esme is more reserved than her brother; happy to sit back and observe what's going on from afar. Once she knows you, she enjoys head scratches, belly rubs, and some lap time. Despite being a bit nervous of new people and environments, Esme feels the most comfortable around other cats. It will be really important for her to go to a home with another cat. It could be with her brother, Ivory, or another friendly cat that will help show her the ropes in a new home.
Esme is looking for an adult-only home with someone who has experience working with under-socialized cats. She is only about 9-10 months old so she is still young enough to blossom into a wonderful companion. She just needs to find someone who has the patience and the experience to help guide her.
