My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert is an endearing tri-color boxer mix pup, brimming with sweetness and longing for a permanent home. Despite his charm, he found himself on the shelter's "last call list" due to being timid in the shelter setting. At his tender age, Rupert thrives with routine and structure, making him an ideal companion for someone willing to provide stability and love. With his gentle demeanor and eagerness to learn, Rupert promises to be a loyal and devoted addition to any family lucky enough to welcome him into their lives.

We elected to take Rupert to Darbster since this 7-month-old was slated to be euthanized because he was fearful in his kennel. Once we got him to our facility in FL, we discovered he is just a shy, submissive fun and loving puppy. We sent him to foster with a family with 4 kids and he thrived for the two weeks there. He still needs confidence building but we are so happy we are able to give this little guy a chance at the life he deserves. We think he would do great in a home with gentle yet confident people and at this point probably no cats or chickens.
