My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Rochelle and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm an 8 year old, female, Domestic Shorthair who came to SB Humane to find a new loving home.

Known for my gentle demeanor and affectionate purrs, I specialize in cuddles and companionship. Whether it's lounging in a sunny spot by the window or curling up on your lap during a cozy evening, I'm always there to offer comfort and warmth. My hobbies include birdwatching from the safety of my favorite perch, practicing the art of the perfect nap, and engaging in light-hearted games with feathered toys.
My ideal home would be one with low traffic in and out of the home. I have got along well with both dogs and cats in the past, but would appreciate a slow introduction to your resident furry friends. With a little bit of patience and a whole lot of love, I know I would make a great friend for you.

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
