Hello, my name is Phoenix. I was hours away from being euthanized that the Shasta shelter in northern California along with my brothers before our rescuer stepped up and got us on the same day Transport 8 hours away! We arrived safely and thankfully healthy, I was the runt of the litter and I got picked on by my brothers quite often but now that I’m bigger and almost the size of a 10 week old Belgian Malinois puppy, I got the nickname Petite Belgian Mal, short stack and Miss Pheenee! i’m definitely going to be smaller than the average pup, but it doesn’t stop me! I’m extremely playful and I absolutely love other dogs, cats and children however, the cats I’ve been socialized with don’t really care for dogs so I spend most of my time playing by myself or playing with my Rescue siblings. I would love a yard to play in or walked at least twice a day. I’m not a high maintenance puppy I’m very low maintenance and I’m not high energy. I will play but I know when it’s time to relax and wind down. I’m not loud and I’m not destructive despite my breeds reputation, I don’t need a lot to be happy just a few toys a crate where I can isolate myself when I need to and I’m a happy camper. I would be great for someone who doesn’t want a tiny dog but also doesn’t want a large dog. I’m pretty mellow and I love to cuddle, still getting used to the leash but with a few more one on one walks, I should master it.
