My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

More About Worf
Worf is a 2 year-old Shar Pei whose human dad (a veteran) is losing his battle with cancer. Worf found himself face to face with a kill shelter in Columbus. He has been pulled and is safe, but now Worf needs a new family to call his own .

He is being fostered in Columbus. He is altered and up to date on all shots. Worf has done very well with other dogs and kids, and he's learning not to chase cats. He is not aggressive in the least. Worf is completely housetrained, not a chewer, eats well (no special dietary needs) and does not bark excessively (he will let you know if someone is at the door).

Although Worf knows sit, stay, shake and lay down, he is still learning how to stay in a crate.

Due to losing the only family he's ever known, Worf has shown some signs of separation anxiety. This is only when he is kenneled during the day, and being with his foster dogs helps ease that very much. His separation anxiety has not resulted in bad behavior whatsoever, just a bit of whinning. Improvement is seen every day with his training.

The first step in adopting Worf is to request an application via email at aospca@verizon.net. The ideal home for Worf will be one where he can be walked once per day. Although he is not a high energy dog, he still needs 30 minutes of solid exercise every day. He will need to be with a family that understands he will still need to be crate and leash trained. Other than that, all he needs is love!

Worf is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
