Oh Oakley…the GSD is such a desirable dog. Everyone looks at them with awe. The most gorgeous puppies. Super smart. Highly trainable. Loyal to a fault. Revered as police canines. Amazing athletes.
NOT shelter trash.
Oakley needs a home. She’s estimated to be around 5. Back on May 11th, she was found wandering along Rt 812 between Croghan and Harrisville and never claimed. We had to use a catchpole to get her, but thankfully she was so hungry that we were able to lure her in with food. She was also exhausted and immediately fell asleep in the truck. She definitely has not had the life a GSD deserves. She can be standoffish when kenneled, but good outside of it. She will need someone to go slow with her and be patient. It takes her a moment to trust, and we understand that. She’s the kinda gal who knows what she likes, and doesn’t wanna put up with much nonsense, so a quiet home with no kids would be best for Oakley.
Please help Oakley get back the dignity all dogs, but especially GSD’s, deserve.
