Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This girl was spotted in a Craigslist ad by a family who adopted one of our Basset Hounds previously. They reached out to us to see if we could rescue her and so we did! She wasn’t spayed and was in heat when we received her.
Mable just turned 1yo, she’s a red/white female Basset Hound. She’s very sweet and friendly with people and is good with other dogs as well. She’s also known to be good with kids, unknown about cats. She was surrendered because her previous owners weren’t home most of the day and she was kept in a crate for several hours. Mable is not fully house broken, she’s only crate trained. We’ll have Mable spayed once her heat is over and will be ready to be adopted in about 2-3 weeks.
Included with Mable’s adoption:
- Vet wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies)
- Rabies certificate
- Fecal test (Negative)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme - Negative)
- Heartworm/Flea/tick preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spay surgery
- Leash and collar
- Adoption contract
- Some of her current food
Pick up is in San Diego, CA. Transportation could be arranged to the right home, depending on distance.
If interested in adopting Mable feel free to fill out an application through our application link.
Please note, we are a rescue that mainly rescues Beagles, therefore our application is directed to the Beagle breed. If you’re applying to adopt Mable please complete the application sharing the experience you may have with the Basset Hound breed or with other dog breeds (not necessarily Beagles).
