My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** I AM CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME, BUT STILL AVAILABLE TO ADOPT. TO SCHEDULE A MEET AND GREET WITH ME AT THE SHELTER, PLEASE EMAIL ADOPTIONS@IVHSSPCA.ORG **

Hi, I'm Celtic! I am a playful and affectionate girl. I love people so much! I want to be near you and not get left behind, so you may see me following you around! I am strong and athletic, but I am gentle in my interactions with people. I am great with children, even around crying babies. I love getting affection from everyone. I get excited for attention, so I may jump up and paw at you to get pets. I like to go for walks, at times pulling hard on the leash from excitement. I love to see other dogs when out on walks, and I get along well with other dogs. I will sleep at night in a crate that's in the same room as people. I'm working on daytime crate-training and house-training (I may have an accident or two in the meantime). I'm a little unsure about car rides, but I'm gaining confidence in getting into and out of the car without help. I know "sit" and "shake", and I'm working on the "off" command for getting off the couch or bed. I love chasing tennis balls and will even take them out of the toy basket to play by myself. I also love chew bones and peanut butter-filled Kongs. I love to sit by the window to look outside. I would love to be a big snuggly sofa dog. Will you give me a forever home so we can Netflix and chill together?

More about this shelter

Established in 1949, the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. is a private, non-profit, full-access animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe refuge for animals in our community. Our mission to care for all animals is made possible by friends like you. Every day our dedicated staff ensures that every animal receives food, veterinary care and the attention they need until they can find a forever home. The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA is a private, 501c3 nonprofit organization and is supported by contributions, grants, bequests, proceeds from pet adoptions, pet licensing and fees for services.

With highly recognized investigative officers, IVHS answers the call of over 100 animals in need every day. With our community outreach programs we educate the public on local wildlife, proper pet care and how to be a responsible pet owner. Equally important is IVHS’s commitment to provide a mobile vaccination clinic, low-cost and no-cost spay and neuter programs for our communities.
