Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY

May I introduce Opal! This black beauty was rescued with her sibling by one of our fabulous foster moms. She has done extensive work socializing them, and they are now ready for a foster/foster to forever home. Opal & Onyx are both about 2 years old. Opal loves to be held. She's pictured cuddled up in her blanky. She is FIV negative, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, all volunteer NYS corporation which has been operating on Long Island for 40 years. We are working to create a better welfare system for all the animals in our communities. Over the years, we created, and continue to create, a number of valuable programs which serve to promote our mission to create respect for all animals, to educate individuals about animals, to help people keep their animals, and to provide assistance with the control of the animal population on Long Island. PAWS has many programs which are helpful in achieving our goals. Some of our programs include:
