My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe and Sophia
Domestic Shorthair, Born in March 2024, Tortoiseshell, Female

Surprise, surprise!  Can’t believe your eyes?  Well, it’s us ~ Chloe & Sophia ~ and yes, we do look an awful lot alike, but it’s easy to tell us apart once we tell you the secret:  I’m Chloe and I’m the one with the sexy blonde streak over my right eye, and my sister, Sophia, she has blonde toes ~ sooo cute!!!   But we have our own purrsonalities, too.  So once you get to know us, telling us apart will be easy-peasy.

Being sisters, we definitely like to do girly things, but since we grew up with two brothers, we can rough and tumble with the best of them, too.  So if you’re looking for high energy, look no more.  We are always on the go ~ chasing paper balls, playing in cardboard boxes, chasing stuffed mice and climbing to the top of the cat tree.   And best of all, we go to homeschool! Our foster mom is helping us learn the basics of good kitten etiquette ~ things like no roughhousing, no biting, no scratching the furniture, blah, blah, blah ~ and we’ve promised to practice until we get it purrfect.  We hope you’ll come see us soon so we can show you everything we’ve learned!

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
