This beautiful girl is kind of a big deal. Patches, or as we call her, Big P, came to us completely feral. She had never known kindness from a human, but my 15-year old daughter and a little tabby cat named Indy, had different plans for Patches. She was not a willing participant at first. but today, Big P is a completely different cat! She willingly crawls onto my lap, stretches out on her side, and begs for belly rubs (about her favorite thing in the world). She'll get in your face to say hello, makes biscuits like she's paid on production, and she really loves her people. She will take all the love she can get from us and loves us right back. She has turned into the sweetest cat ever. We are thankful every day for the love she gives us. She loves life now; every aspect of it. She loves to play with whatever is around her; toys, balls, empty paper towel rolls, whatever, she'll play with it. She LOVES to chase the feather wand. That feather wand doesn't stand a chance against Big P's ninja moves. She is playful and fun and so much fun to be around.
She loves treats and naptime. She gets so excited for treats and doesn't mind a bit if they're given to her a little more than they should be. Yes, we spoil her. Every day. That's what she deserves. She loves to snuggle in soft blankets and rest. She loves laying by, and on, her people. She likes to be close to her humans, always.
We are looking for the perfect home for Patches. Small kids might scare her, so we're recommending a home without small kids. She's going to want to be around her family more than she's not. She's going to want a cat tree, she loves to watch out a window and sit up high. She needs people that will engage with her and be an active part of her life. She needs a lot of attention. She's fine by herself for a bit, of course, but we really want her family to be pretty devoted to her. Delectable Squeeze-Ups are her jam. If she sees you with one in your hand, she will start carrying on like a crazy cat and yell at you until you get it open and get it in front of her face. She is cat friendly, as long as they're playful and fun, and not too dominant. She'd also be fine being a solo cat if she has plenty of people time.
She will need a slow introduction to her new home and it may take a bit of time before she completely opens up with her new people. This cat is worth it though, I promise you that. I can't tell you how much we love Big P and we're so incredibly proud of her and how far she has come. But the truth is, she doesn't need us anymore. She's got this. She just needs her forever home.
Born approx November 2019, Patches is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested Felv/FIV negative.
