For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
With a coat of many colors, Mabel is indeed a beautiful and striking 11
year old calico. Mabel knows what she wants and won’t be shy about
telling you. But if you speak ‘cat’…you and Mabel could have a fabulous
relationship.
Poor Mabel was surrendered to a shelter after her previous guardian was
ill and couldn’t care for her anymore. Poor Mabel found herself back at
the same shelter she was adopted from 10 years ago! Her coat was a
little rough at first but since being in a foster home she has grown her
fur out and is now looking (and feeling) quite fabulous. Mabel really is a
sweet and affectionate girl. She likes to be pet and can be a great little
lap warmer. And her playful side is coming out as well. She’s also good at
being on her own, doing the things she loves…whether that’s sitting atop
her favorite perch or taking afternoon naps.
Mabel wants to be your one and only cat but could live with cat savvy
dogs, and she would be best in an adult household. Think of the
difference you can make in Mabel’s life. If you’d like to meet Mabel,
please fill out an adoption application. If you can’t adopt, please share and
let’s find this girl her people!
Mabel is being fostered in Corralitos.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, mi-crochipped, FIV/FELV negative, and have had a complete blood panel done.

More about this rescue
Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
