Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at that sweet face of innocence. At 14 years old, Sylvia did not expect to outlive the only companion she ever knew. But this 9-pound girl is resilient and she transitioned well to her wonderful foster home. She’s really an incredibly sweet cat who loves everyone she meets.
Affectionate and loving, Sylvia will purr with delight when she’s near you. In fact, she’ll want to be so close to you that she’ll climb on your chest and nuzzle your neck. How cute is that?!
She adores being pet and enjoys sleeping with her people…a great little bed warmer. Still energetic, Sylvia loves to play and she can’t resist a wand toy to get her moving. But truly, she’ll be happy to do anything with you and she’ll be your faithful companion.
Having lived her whole life as the only cat, we feel that Sylvia would be happiest being your only feline. However, she could be fine with a cat friendly mellow dog. And given her social and gentle nature, we do think Sylvia would be good with older kids that can respect her boundaries.
Sylvia was recently diagnosed with feline asthma. It doesn’t seem to slow her down much and is easily controlled with meds. Plus Golden Oldies will pay for her asthma medicine for life. So if you feel like Sylvia can be the one for you, a staff person will speak to you first and answer any questions you have before you meet her in person.
Please fill out an adoption questionnaire, to get the adoption process started.
Sylvia is being fostered in Monterey.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, and have had a complete blood panel done.
