Payson is a spirited and resilient puppy with an infectious zest for life. Rescued from the Palm Valley Animal Shelter in Edinburg, Texas, she faced a tough challenge early on, contracting parvo just two days after arriving at A Doggie 4 You. With excellent care and her indomitable spirit, Payson made a remarkable recovery and is now eagerly searching for a loving forever home.

This charming Boston Terrier/Husky mix, born around February 25, 2024, is a playful and energetic bundle of joy, weighing 13.8 pounds as of May 29, 2025. Payson loves to wrestle and play tug-of-war with her three siblings, turning every playtime into an adventure. She delights in meeting new friends, both human and furry, and has a particular fondness for all kinds of toys.

Though Payson hasn't yet mastered walking on a leash, she is eager to learn and would thrive in a home that can provide the training and patience she needs. Her playful energy and affectionate nature make her the perfect companion for anyone looking to add joy and excitement to their life.

Please note, we do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made by cash, check, or through PayPal or Venmo. Please note the payment as an adoption fee

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella, heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.

Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dog. We pride ourselves in providing a complete and honest evaluation of each dog to ensure the best possible placement for both the dog and the adopter.

A Doggie 4 You is an all volunteer organization and consists of two programs:
1) A Doggie 4 You rescues dogs from kill facilities and unsafe environments, fully vet the dogs, then adopt them to loving families

2)The Hill Country Daisy Fund helps hill country rescues in by providing monetary support for adoptable animals in shelters who have a treatable injury or illness or low income individuals who need assistance with food or veterinary care in order to keep their pet.

We are located in the Texas Hill Country. We can arrange for safe transport to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and can be transported to you if you adopt from us.
