For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Suncoast Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, I'm Ziva. I'm a bit of an independent spirit, but don't let that fool you. I love a good mystery, always on the hunt for the next puzzle to solve. I've been known to open doors and uncover hidden toys. My curiosity is insatiable, it keeps me young at heart. My intelligence is evident in my quick learning of new tricks and games. I may seem self-sufficient, but I yearn for a companion who appreciates my quirks. Adopt me, not just because I'm smart, but because I promise to make your life interesting.

More about this shelter
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
