Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amber is a 4-year-old dynamo with a heart full of love and a spirit full of energy! This sweet girl is playful, energetic, and always up for an adventure. Whether it's a game of fetch, a long walk, or a romp in the yard, Amber is ready to make the most out of every moment.
Amber is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows the command "sit," so she's well-mannered and ready to join your home. Her affectionate nature means she's always looking for some quality bonding time with her people. Amber loves to snuggle, give kisses, and be part of the action, whether you're relaxing on the couch or out exploring together.
Amber is looking for a home with tolerant dog playmates who will enjoy her playful energy, as she can be a bit strong-willed when it comes to playtime. She may take some time to adjust to other dogs, so it's important that her new family introduces her to her canine companions in a calm and patient manner. With the right playmates, she'll thrive and make a wonderful friend!
If you're an active person or family looking for a fun, loving, and affectionate dog, Amber could be the perfect match for you. She's ready to bring her playful personality and loving heart into her forever home!
Amber is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to meet her new family. Come meet this lovable, energetic girl today and see if she's the perfect fit for your home!

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of North Central Florida was created in 2018 when the leadership of the Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue decided to permanently join forces. By becoming the Humane Society of North Central Florida, our organizations were able to effectively streamline services for pets and pet owners, eliminate any duplication of services, maximize our community’s resources, and improve the life-saving abilities of the entire region.
Our founding organizations have been dedicated to serving pets in Alachua County for more than 40 years. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is a limited intake, no-kill animal rescue shelter. The animals in our facility are transferred from open-intake and/or managed admission municipal shelters across North Central Florida. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is an independent, local 501(c)(3) organization. As such, we do not receive funding from federal agencies, nor are we affiliated with any other state or national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA.
