My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kai, a stunning petite husky girl, has come so far since she first arrived at Pasado's this spring! Kai was rescued from an environment where she had little human contact for the first few years of her life. This made her quite nervous around new people. Since being here, she's really start to come out of her shell. She enjoys playing with other dogs and going for walks in the woods. Tasty treats are definitely the way to her heart. Kai would love to have a doggy friend in her new home as she continues to learn about all the wonderful things life has to offer.

More about this rescue

Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado“, a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. Located on 85 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we are a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.

In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
