Meet Cleo! Your Active, Loving Companion!

Cleo is a sweet and intelligent 6-year-old female black lab mix looking for her forever home. With her gentle demeanor and playful spirit, she’s sure to bring joy to any family.

Quick Facts:

Very Active: Enjoys daily walks and weekly hikes.

House Trained: Whines to signal when she needs to go out.

Crate Trained: Spends her days and nights loose indoors but is comfortable in a crate if needed.

Leash Trained: Loves long walks.

Well-Socialized: Gets along well with cats and is a joy to be around.

Obedience Trained: Passed beginner, intermediate, and advanced obedience classes at PetSmart and k9University. Knows several commands, including "sit," "stay," "down," "drop it," "leave it," and "off."

Cleo weighs about 60 pounds and has a gentle nature, making her suitable for most homes. She loves snuggling, playing pranks, and running through puddles, making her a great companion for an active family. Her previous owner describes her as a very sweet, loving, and trusting soul who is incredibly intelligent and affectionate.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
