Vetra is a playful, very sweet orange young girl. Most orange cats are boys so she’s a unique beauty. A kind family rescued her from their neighborhood last fall with the hope that she would get along with their resident cat. After several months of trying to introduce them, the two cats have not become friends. We aren’t sure if that means Vetra won’t get along with other cats at all but she may prefer to be an only cat to get all the attention for herself. The vet thinks that she is probably about 4 years old.

Vetra loves people and whenever visitors come over she is happy to greet them and love on them. She enjoys riding on shoulders if you will let her and she will sit on your chest, shoulders, or lap when you are relaxing on the couch. Vetra is a talker and will happily carry on a conversation with you when you meow at her.

She is a master “biscuit maker” and even drools some when she gets excited. Vetra will go to her new home with a cat tree that will be great for her to watch the birds. Another item that will go with her is a favorite catnip banana toy that she loves to lick.

Vetra doesn’t mind being picked up but she will occasionally get squirmy when she seems something she would like to get to. It seems likely that she would sleep with her new family if they let her. While her current foster family doesn’t have any children in it, she has done well when a 6 year old and 9 year old visited the home.
