Hadley is like the popular girl in high school that you want to hate but she’s just as pretty inside as she is outside, and you can’t help but fall in love with her just like everyone else!

Hadley was one of many names on a list of dogs we wanted to rescue when we had the space, one of the many faces that we simply can’t get out of our heads. We promised we’d come back for her and boy, are we happy that we did. This girl is ALL heart and just a genuine sweetheart. You can tell she’s so grateful for the chance to live the life she was always meant to - a life outside being overbred and under loved before being left to fend for herself as a stray. But she ain’t looking back and is ready to find a permanent home of her own where she can be treated like the gem she is!

Hadley is roughly 3 years old and weighs in at 43 pounds. She is people friendly, dog friendly, and even cat friendly! She rides like a champ in the car and is eager to go on any adventure. She is working on showing people how much she loves them with all four paws on the ground, but is otherwise very well mannered and will do just about anything for a treat! Or some butt scratches, those are a big motivator for her as well.

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
