Additional adoption info

We do have an adoption application, contract and certain requirements to adopt. However, we do take each and every adoption on an individual basis and try to make our decision based on what is best for the animal. There is an adoption fee to help with our vet expenses, and it will vary from pet to pet. We receive NO funding from any source other than our own pockets, so obviously we could not continue to do this if we do not get at least partial reimbursement for the money we spend on care No one associated with our rescue receives ANY money for their time and efforts. No one is paid and we do this for the love of animals.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are in foster homes, at our places of employment, our homes, where ever we can find a spot. Meeting a pet requires an appointment and some coordinating on our part. It is worth the extra effort. Dogs that get to spend time with a family rather than in a cage at a kennel are much more well adjusted.

More about this rescue

Basically, UnderDogs is run by just one woman who devotes her life to animals. We have a few volunteers and a handful of foster homes. Please be patient if you are contacting us....we have no staff. The animal care is very time consuming and sometimes there are not enough hours in the day. If you have ever saved a life and known the incredible joy that fills your heart, you know why we do this. It is the best feeling in the world.
