My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone meet Swiftie AKA Lady Bird. This is the cutest little love bug you’ll ever meet. She is a female, tri-colored rough coat Jack Russell Terrier believed to be 1 year old. She is about 17 pounds, has all her big teeth, but still very much a puppy! She was rescued from Animal Control from a household that did not treat her the best, but you would never know it as she is the happiest and sweetest dog. She absolutely loves all people and interacts very well with other dogs. Not sure on cats. At first she was called “slinky” a lot because she just melts in your arms like the slinky dog from Toy Story. She loves to play, mostly run with you or run around with the other dogs. She loves bones and chew toys, not really interested in playing fetch with the ball. She loves all food, but may be slightly food sensitive to certain dog foods (may need to see what is best for her). She loves popcorn, peanut butter, and eggs a LOT!! She is slightly food aggressive and needs to learn that no one will take it away. Because she is still pretty young she is not fully potty trained as she won’t let you know when she needs to go. But, any time she is let out she does go to the bathroom. She does well in a crate and on a leash. She does need a little work when left alone (especially if the only dog) as she gets “bored” easily and has been known to chew up things. She needs lots of exercise right now to tire her out. She also can be an escape artist in the car (she can roll down windows) and in the backyard trying to find little holes. She needs a good, secure backyard. She does not run away though. The best thing about her is her cuddly and affectionate demeanor. She is so sweet and loves to just lay right next to you or straight on top of her humans. She deserves a loving home that will give her lots of attention and exercise!! Whoever gets to call her their family are the luckiest humans! Swiftie requires a home with no kiddos. Also…no little critters like hamsters, parakeets, etc. We want her new owner to be home a large part of the day. She is barely out of puppy stage and needs attention. Another dog to play with will be great as long as it’s a male.
You will need a good vet reference to adopt her. We will also want to do a home visit with you.
Swiftie’s adoption fee is $275. Her adopter will need to pick her up in Victoria, Texas. If you are interested please fill out the online adoption application at www.RussellRescue.com Contact: jamesejolley@gmail.com
