MEET REX #6!!

Rex has a very sweet and loving personality once he gets to know you. He is well-behaved and quite smart. He has spent his days inside and sleeps outside at night. He has been around kids, but he plays too rough, so it would be best that he goes to a home with older children. He seems to get anxious in chaotic situations and will bark and growl at strangers. Rex has been a one owner dog and sadly his owner passed away two weeks ago. Poor boy!

Rex is house trained and doggy door trained. Although he knows some of the basics, he needs someone who is willing to work with him and teach him how to be the best dog. He is smart, but he hasn't had formal training or much exposure to the outside world. He is a great dog and will make an amazing pet with the right person to give him love, show him patience and keep him safe. Meet Rex today!

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
