My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a handsome 2-1/2 year old male kitty who was surrendered by his owner on June 1, 2024 (along with his best friend/brother Lenny) due to landlord/housing issues, and they were no longer allowed to have them.

Tucker & Lenny were tiny un-weaned kittens when they first came into their home, and the family's grandson successfully bottlefed them and saved their lives. The kittens not only survived but thrived to become large happy kitties.

Tucker has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.

Tucker was given vaccination, wormer, and flea treatment on June 1, 2024. He weighed 19.4 lbs that day. Tucker was combo tested by his family's veterinarian when he was a kitten and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

Both Tucker & Lenny have friendly dispositions and were fine with being picked up and carried around by HSOV Kennel Tech Emily Beaver who volunteered to help them with their photo sessions on June 1st. They are naturally a little 'out of their element' since they have been in their very own home since they were teeny tiny babies, and this is very scary being away from their 'safe' place they'd enjoyed for the past two+ years.

Tucker & Lenny have not shared their home with children, other cats, or dogs. They are frightened of vacuum cleaners and will hide in an attempt to avoid them. Tucker's favorite toys are something to scratch on.

Tucker & Lenny are being kept together in one of our large cat towers in the hallway of our shelter instead of a small cage so that they may provide companionship and a sense of security for each other.

We have listed them as a bonded pair since we feel it is in their best interest to find a home together either through adoption or rescue.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
