My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

A volunteer writes: It's a gift when someone sees you as you are and loves you just the same. Nacho has been loved like that and he certainly will be again. His person could no longer care for him but really wanted us to know that Nacho is nervous in the beginning and becomes really friendly. Not everyone is great at first impressions, myself included, which is why I happily gave Nacho a pass when he was less than enthusiastic to see me. A hissy hello faded into playfulness with a little patience and some pipe cleaner feathers. When I offered Nacho a pipe cleaner feather, he became a silly and fun kitten, his face brightening with joy at the distraction. Alternating between crawling on his belly and pouncing, watching him relax into playtime made my day. When I think about how seen Nacho has been, it makes me want to help him find that kind of love again.
