Hi! My name is Wednesday. I am a playful, spunky and snuggly puppy looking for my furever family.
I currently live in a foster home with human parents and teenagers, as well as a pack of wonderful older dogs. I also have another foster puppy sister to play with. These dogs have helped me to understand boundaries and that others need space, something I did not learn as a young puppy. I will continue to need reminders as I grow, so it would be beneficial for my furever family to have an adult resident dog who is confident and playful to show me the ropes! If not, then a family that will play lots with me and keep me active with enrichment and exercise, and provide dog friends to learn from and play with!
I am very curious and my foster mom thinks it's adorable. Whether it is leaves blowing in the wind, toads hopping in the grass or an ice cube or carrot on the floor to eat, I tilt my head to the side so cute and love to investigate and play! I love exploring and running around in the big backyard, finding sticks and dirt piles. I LOVE playing fetch with the ball!! I will run super fast, retrieve it and run back to give it to you and excitedly wait for you to throw it again! I also really enjoy playing in the water in the doggy pool, as well as jumping around and catching water in my mouth as my foster mom sprays the garden hose!
I am going potty outside frequently on a schedule and do well freely in the backyard. I also do well going potty on a leash. I am crate trained and sometimes even go in when I just want to rest. I do well in my crate sleeping at night and when the humans are not home. I will bark to let you know that I want to get out if I know you are home for a long time. I like to be by people and other dogs when I know they are around. I do bark at things that startle me or unexpected sounds or people outside, but I am easily redirected and my foster mom is working on this with me. I'm just an excited puppy that is aware of the world around me!
My morning routine now consists of waking up early to go potty, then coming up to bed with my foster parents for another half hour and snuggling. I'm very snuggly. I also could go for jumping right into the day and playing and going for a walk. I'm quite versatile! I am super food motivated. I love meal time and sit so politely for treats and am learning to wait my turn with the other pups. With treats, you can get me to do just about anything!
I am one special pup looking for that one special family to love! I am excited to meet you!
