My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marlin is a sweet boy, winning fans with the volunteers. He didn't know how to walk on a leash so got to ride to the exercise yards in a wheelbarrow. He has been making good progress since then! He loves to get attention and did very well hanging out with a variety of dogs, he was a little nervous with males but very comfortable with females.

Update on Marlin 9/28/24 - Marlin stayed overnight with a foster and was fast friends with all their male and female dogs. He shared toys and treats nicely, had no accidents in the house, and did fantastic when crated. Today he went to the Panting for Paws 5k, Purrs McBarkin', and the rail trail. He met all kinds new friends, even some toddlers that he was very gentle with. He was just loving all the attention! Marlin is a very affectionate boy and would try to climb into the laps of anyone who would sit with him. He's a super gentle treat-taker, although he is choosey about what treats he will eat. He's just a connoisseur of finer foods. He also loves riding in the car. He hasn't figured out how to load up on his own, but he isn't much of a jumper. Once he's in there, he just lays down and enjoys the ride. He unloads just fine on his own, ready to get out and start a new adventure. He has gotten so much better walking on a leash, but occasionally needs some encouragement in new places. A little love and a person to snuggle him is all he really wants.
