Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you ready to meet your loyal, playful, and oh-so-sweet new best friend? Swenden is an 11-month-old, 37lb mix of Australian Cattle Dog (33%), American Pit Bull Terrier (28%), Boxer (15%), and Supermutt (23%)-a delightful blend that gives her the best qualities of each breed! This gorgeous girl is curious, affectionate, and ready for a family that's as energetic and loving as she is.
Each morning, Swenden sets out for an exciting walk in Central Park, where she's thrilled to chase her ball, play with other pups, and explore. She's great on the leash (but even better off it!) and loves nothing more than time spent playing and exploring. Once back home, she's a chill and easygoing companion, happy to nap and play with her toys until her next outing.
Swenden is best suited to an active owner who loves outdoor adventures and has the time to continue her training. While she's almost completely house-trained, she's still learning, so an owner who can help her along the way will be ideal. Swenden can be protective, especially when new people come into her space, so a home without young kids would suit her best.
Swenden's had the joy of foster care for five months and is more than ready for her forever home! If you're looking for a loving, energetic, and loyal companion, she might just be the one for you. Let's give this incredible girl the furever home she truly deserves!
Swenden is being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $500.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
