Dexter is a gorgeous white shepherd who is incredibly loving and loyal. At his current foster, he is a house dog who has proven his proper indoor etiquette. He would love a home with older children or would thrive with a single person who he can give all of his love to. He loves sleeping at the foot of the bed to make sure you're safe at night.

Dexter's family lost their home and had to move into an apartment where pets were not allowed. He's missing his family but is still very sweet. He gets along with other dogs but is an alpha male; he is housebroken. Currently in foster in a country setting with other dogs. Dexter is up to date with his shots, and neutered. He is being treated for heartworm but is otherwise a healthy 4-year old. He walks well on leash. Dexter will need access to a yard or fenced in area.

Adoption Fee includes all age-appropriate shots, deworming, spay/neuter certificate (if too young to be fixed) and microchip, dog food, leash and collar.

Once you have met the pet and want to adopt -- we will continue with the adoption process -- vet checks and home visits are done.

Meet the Pet

Once you are approved -- you may sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee and adopt the pet.

We require potential adopters to fill out an adoption application; there is a phone interview, home visit and vet/personal reference check prior to approval and adoption. The Adopter must sign an Adoption Agreement.

Our rescued animals are placed in foster homes in the New York and Northern New Jersey areas. Our animals are also boarded in veterinary hospitals in the South until we can transport them to our NJ locations. We also have rescue partners in Canada.
