Twix and Reece are a bonded pair of female Guinea Pigs seeking a home together. They both make strong and mighty wheek wheeks whenever they hear a crinkled bag in the kitchen or when it’s time for supper.  They will let you know exactly when they’re hungry for their veggies. They are emotionally ready for the next chapter of their life and have a long list of desired fruits, veggies, and herbs. They love to take small treats by hand several times a day. They love to lay on handmade fleece blankets & get very excited about any kind of food.

About Me: Hi everyone! Thank you for reading about us! We are sweet gals who are looking for our forever family where we can stay together. We are still hesitant about being held, but with time we will learn to trust you fully! If you have any questions about guinea pig care, my foster family would be willing to help guide you. They are specifically looking for a family who can provide ethical enclosure space, a varied diet and consistency with attention. They are here to support you and to share their love of guinea pigs with anyone who is considering us or has questions.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. Search adoptable animals & complete application.

2. Application Processing Team will review/process application, conduct background screening & contact vet/personal references.

3. Foster provider schedules a “meet & greet" with applicant. Resident dogs & ALL people (including children) living or frequently visiting the applicant's home are REQUIRED to attend the meet & greet.

4. If the foster provider & adopter agree to move forward, a home visit will be scheduled. Long-distance adopters can request home visit prior to meet & greet to avoid multiple trips.

5. After the home visit is approved, payment & adoption contract will be completed. You will receive your contract via e-mail from DocuSign & your invoice via e-mail from PayPal. PayPal can be paid by credit, debit or PayPal account (you do NOT need a PayPal account).

6. Once payment, adoption contract, & age-appropriate vetting are complete, the new owners can pick up their pet! Adopters are required to bring their own leash & collar at pick-up.

Vetting records are sent by email 5-7 business days post-adoption, again, keep an eye on your email during this time, including your spam folder. Sometimes our emails get lost).

Adoption fees are non-negotiable or refunded.

APPLICATIONS ARE PROCESSED MONDAY-FRIDAY
EXCLUDING THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS:
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial, Independence, Labor Day Columbus, Veteran's Day Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

All communication will be handled electronically.(Keep an eye on your email during this time, including your spam folder, sometimes our emails get lost.)

Expect 5-7 business days for processing (more time may be needed to verify info requiring a response/verification).

We do not hold animals in care unless there is an age or medical-related situation to inhibit the adoption process with that animal.

Applications found to be dishonest or incomplete will be denied.

MSAR reserves the right to deny any application for any reason at any time. Rude, negative and harsh conduct towards MSAR volunteers will not be tolerated & will result in dismissal of an application.

Mending Spirits Animal Rescue will adopt to any location.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Applying or meeting an MSAR animal does not guarantee adoption. Expect & Respect that multiple applications for the same animal may occur & they may secure/finalize adoptive placement. Unfortunately, this means that sometimes we must redirect great people to another available animal or have to patiently wait for another – please don’t take that personally!
