Blackjack is a sweet American bulldog mix. He is looking for a new home after being surrendered locally. Blackjack loves people but he hasnt been tested with kids. He weighs about 85 lbs, so he might not be ideal with small kids given his size. Blackjack gets along well with a variety of dogs but would do best as the only dog in the home. His current foster home has cats, and he is fine with them. This active and playful pup would benefit from more training. An adopter experienced with bully breeds is preferred and someone who can take him for training. Blackjack is being fostered in the Greater Toronto Area. More about this rescue

Paws Above is a small foster based rescue that operates in the Greater Toronto Area. It was founded by Ola Zalewski. Ola has been caring for and training dogs her whole adult life, 20 years! She runs a successful dog daycare business out of King City. She is most passionate however when it comes to homeless dogs. She has been rescuing and rehoming dogs for as long as she has been training them. She specializes in taking in dogs with challenges, we work on their issues and match them up with the perfect family. She saves dogs in Canada and also rescues from abroad. If there is a dog in need and we are able, Paws Above will help out!
