My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BONDED PAIR. This is a bonded pair so we are only adopting them together.

These handsome boys are FRANKIE and FUDDIE, 4 year old, Shih Tzu/Maltese mixes who would enjoy a more mellow household. Frankie, the larger of the two dogs, weighs 15 pounds, and Fuddie weighs 10 ½ pounds. Fuddie lost his eye to an injury and infection years ago. Frankie and Fuddie have a soft, non-shedding type coat that will require grooming every 12 weeks or so, along with bi-weekly brushing. Frankie loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home as well as Fuddie; on the other hand, Fuddie is more shy and only plays with Frankie but he seeks out his foster mom for attention and cuddling.

Frankie and Fuddie’s senior owner took ill and could no longer care for the boys so he asked our rescue for help. They have been living in a foster home with several other dogs and seem to be wonderful little dogs who are easy to love. They are housebroken and have good house manners.

Frankie and Fuddie would do best with a fenced yard for potty breaks, and an adopter who would enjoy taking them on daily walks for exercise. These dogs have been examined by licensed veterinarians, been provided vaccines, been dewormed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. Our online application is not functioning currently; therefore ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request from acaringplace@comcast.net.   We apologize for the inconvenience.

More about this rescue

A Caring Place, is an All Breed Dog Rescue organization that is exclusively foster based (no facility) and is volunteer run. We rescue dogs and puppies from animal control facilities, dog pounds, and other shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. In addition we take in dogs surrendered by their owners who can or are no longer willing to care for their dog. Each dog this rescue takes in receives all medical care and treatment necessary to be healthy, and then place them into loving temporary homes (foster homes) until adopted. Without our foster care provider's, we could not save these dogs.

FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS are always needed!
