Please meet Azalea, a 4.5 month old Australian Shepherd! This 25 pound, dog-friendly buddy is proving to be pretty chill for a puppy! He loves to watch other dogs play while occasionally joining the fun, but he especially loves to be on the couch getting attention from the humans! He co-exists just fine with cats and we think he'd be okay with older, respectful children. So far, he's doing well in his pen and has been using potty pads. Next up is to start working on going to the bathroom outside! He spins when it's time for food and he looks at his trusted humans with the sweetest eyes.
Azalea can be shy so he is hoping his future family will be patient while he builds confidence. Azalea also has congenital heart defects that will require ongoing monitoring for the rest of his life, so his adopter(s) will need to be prepared for keeping up with his care. He will need another echo cardiogram in 6 months for his continued monitoring. Good news, though - at this point he requires no special medication or surgery! Azalea is a very good puppy who deserves a very good life. We are rooting for him to find his future family stat so please apply if he's the pup for you!
Azalea's adoption fee is $650.
