Stop right here, shepherd fans. Scarf is your man. He's one of those easy button guys who has everything. He's super easy to leash and walk. He enjoys affection and keeps coming back for more! A volunteer said, "Calm and gentle. I love this boy." Another volunteer said he just sat patiently waiting for her to leash him. He is also dog friendly and acts like he is housetrained. We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
